DECEASED ESTATE SERVICES
We can help if:
- A relative or other loved one has passed away and you are the Executor or are otherwise left to administer their estate.
- You need to obtain a Grant of Probate (in some cases it may not be necessary).
- You want to challenge (contest) a deceased person’s Will because you have been left out, have been left too little, or you believe the Will maker did not have testamentary capacity.
- You are the Executor of a Will and wish to defend a challenge to the deceased person’s Will.
WILLS AND POWER OF ATTORNEY
- When you separate or divorce you should consider making a new Will.
- Wills only take effect upon death. You should consider also making a Power of Attorney when you make a Will to cover the possibility of losing your legal capacity before death, e.g. you get diagnosed with dementia, fall into a coma, or suffer some other mental or physical infirmity.
- There are different types of Power of Attorneys:
- Enduring
- Medical
- General
- You should consider having financial and medical Powers of Attorney in place, granting authority to a trusted person to make decisions on your behalf.
CONVEYANCING AND TRUSTS
- You may wish to use our services to sell or buy a home or other real estate, whether or not you are going through a separation or divorce.
- You may need to take or give a transfer of a home or business upon separation or divorce.
- You may need to alter your Family Trust, Unit Trust, or company upon death, separation or divorce.
